Hope you are well! I just received your thank you note in the mail and it is me who owes you a thank you! When I set out to buy a car, I was at a loss of what to go and where to go. I had worked hard to finally afford a car with working a/c and I did not know where to buy one. I had heard so many horror stories and had been told to lease by many people. However, it was important to me to own my car and not have payments for an overpriced vehicle hanging over me.

Donovans pointing me in your direction was the best thing that could happen. My family trusts them implicitly with all our cars and they told us that they trust you. It was a relief to deal with someone so straight-forward, honest and friendly when buying a car. It was a dream come true to get my little red 2006 Chevy Equinox. Two weeks later when I began having a problem with the lights, I was concerned. The mechanic at the dealer told us it was a problem recurrent with some Chevy models where the mechanism that triggers the lights fails. I never would have expected you to help us since we bought the car as is, but you truly impressed me by helping us get the problem resolved. You stand by your cars and customers, and in this bad economy, I appreciate that so much.

VW Passat
Bought a GORGEOUS 2007 VW Passat from David. It is one of the nicest thing I have ever owned. I drove all the way up from Lexington, KY to look at his Passat and David and the experience was fantastic and not what I expected at all. Got to meet his family and his two sweet dogs and it felt more like a meeting between friends than a car deal. I hate shopping for cars and dread the dealing, but David made it painless and actually enjoyable. I never felt pressured and NEVER felt like I was being "taken to the cleaners" as you so often do when you deal with the larger car dealerships. The car was in immaculate shape and clean and well taken care of. David had even put a big red bow on the hood when I came to pick up the car which made me feel like I had given a present to myself and that is exactly how it felt. He filled the gas tank up too. I will be forever grateful for the kindness and respect he showed me during the short time I was at Pleasant Ridge Auto. I will have this one for a while, but when it is time for another car, I am making the drive from Lexington to come back to David! Thanks David!!!

One of the reasons we came to this place were positive reviews - that is why I feel obliged to share our own experience. We bought our car from this place about a month ago - a 2005 Corolla. This was not the first place we looked at - we tried about 10 other cars in the two weeks before buying this one. The car was in great condition: exterior, interior (maybe just a couple tiny scratches on the back), the engine sounded normal; overall it almost felt like a new car. Certainly, it was much better than the cars we had looked at (all of them had good history reports). 1500 miles later we are still happy with the car - it performs the same, it sounds the same, it looks the same, etc. - i.e., there are no surprises. Our overall experience was very good - we liked the place. There was no pressure, no "special discounts just for you" (which was so different from most of the other places we visited). The price was not mentioned until the moment we were ready to discuss it; we agreed on the price in a couple minutes - a fair price, I suppose, which left both us and David (the owner) happy. There were also the little things. We took the car to a mechanic who found that the serpentine belt was worn out - David replaced it. The floor mats were supposed to be new, but turned out to be slightly used (sent from the dealer as new-David) - David replaced those; in fact, he himself noticed this - we would have never paid attention to such a minor detail. He also apologized about a thousand times for those mats! There were a couple other very minor cosmetic issues which he took care of (again, we would have bought the car regardless..) Oh, and the tank was full of course. Here is a short message to David: Thank you! We are very happy with the car, with the deal, and with the overall experience with your shop. If you ever need an endorsement, we will be happy to give it; and we would certainly recommend Pleasant Ridge Auto to a friend. Someday, we will be coming back for our next car.

Maybe you remember my wife and I, we bought a Red 04 Subaru Forester from you back in July. I am just sending you a quick email to tell you how happy we have been with the car here in Colorado. It runs absolutely perfectly. I just had my local Subaru guy rotate the tires and I asked him to do the 60,000 mile checks (belts, hoses, etc.). When I picked it up, he said, "well, there is not much to say. Mechanically, the car is still pretty much perfect."

We have used the car a lot on the back mountain roads and it has performed just great.

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how happy we are with our Subaru.
